Key Responsibilities .Accounting & Financial Management .Manage the full accounting cycle in accordance with IFRS and local regulations. .Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. .Lead month-end and year-end closing processes. .Review and approve account reconciliations and journal entries. .Monitor financial performance and provide analysis to management. .Prepare financial reports for local management and regional headquarters. .Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. .Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, accruals, and provisions. Tax Compliance .Ensure compliance with all Colombian tax regulations. .Prepare and review VAT, Withholding Tax, ICA, Income Tax, and Information Reporting returns. .Coordinate responses to tax audits and inquiries from DIAN and other regulatory entities. .Identify tax risks and opportunities for process improvement. .Maintain compliance with all statutory and corporate tax requirements. Administrative Management .Oversee administrative operations and office management activities. .Manage vendor contracts, service agreements, insurance policies, and facility-related contracts. .Supervise procurement of office supplies, equipment, and administrative services. .Monitor and control administrative budgets and expenses. .Coordinate contract renewals, permits, licenses, and corporate registrations. .Ensure compliance with company policies and internal procedures. .Support process improvement and administrative efficiency initiatives. .Treasury & Accounts Payable .Supervise cash flow management and treasury operations. .Coordinate local and international payments. .Manage banking relationships and financial institutions. .Monitor working capital and liquidity requirements. .Support foreign exchange transactions and international fund transfers. .Logistics & International Operations Support .Oversee accounting records related to freight forwarding, transportation, customs, and logistics operations. .Review costs associated with imports, exports, freight, customs duties, and logistics services. .Manage foreign currency transactions and exchange rate adjustments. .Support operational and commercial teams with financial analysis and reporting. Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls .Coordinate internal and external audits. .Develop and strengthen internal control processes. .Ensure compliance with corporate governance policies and local regulations. .Implement best practices for financial and administrative controls. .Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. Language Requirements Advanced English proficiency (B2-C1 minimum) is required. Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English with regional and global teams. Experience preparing financial reports, presentations, emails, and business correspondence in English. Ability to participate in meetings, conference calls, audits, and discussions with international stakeholders and headquarters. Strong business writing skills and professional communication in a multinational environment. Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, or Financial Coordinator role. Previous experience within logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, supply chain, or international trade industries. Proven experience managing accounting, tax, treasury, and administrative functions. Experience coordinating audits and regulatory compliance activities. Experience leading and developing teams. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of IFRS and Colombian accounting standards. Solid understanding of Colombian tax regulations and DIAN requirements. Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Treasury and cash flow management. Vendor and contract administration. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
